With the frothed milk from your Lattemento you can create delicious hot and cold coffee specialities with the exact flavour you like the most. Written below are some recipes to get you started.
Cappuccino
An Italian classic. It exists of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 hot milk and 1/3 frothed milk as crowning. Optional you can straw a bit of cocoa powder on top of the cappuccino.
Caffè Latte
A good Caffè Latte is based on espresso. Pour hot milk on top of this and crown your drink with a tip of frothed milk. A Caffè Latte is served in a longdrink glass.
Macchiato
A macchiato, literally 'spotted' espresso, is an espresso with a drop of frothed milk. At first sight it looks like a small cappuccino but the taste is more aromatic because there's almost no hot milk added. Spoon the frothed milk (with a little hot milk) in the cup and then add the espresso.
Latte Macchiato
A well prepared Latte Macchiato is built from multiple layers which don't stir together. In contradiction to a cappucino or a caffè latte you first pour the milk and frothed milk in the glass. Almost fill the glass with this, wait till the frothed milk shrinks a little. Then carefully and slowly pour the espresso in the glass, with a circular movement. When you do this carefully beautiful layers will shape. If you want to add an extra flavour or liquor do this together with the milk before adding the frothed milk and espresso..
Caffè Mocha
For this speciality you use 1 or 2 spoons of chocolate syrup or chocolate sauce. With a little extra milk your children will also love this chocolate coffee. First pour the syrup in a big cup. Then, while stirring, add coffee and hot milk. Finish with some spoons of frothed milk and some cocoa powder.
Minty Coffee
To create this fresh coffee speciality
first put a mint in a jockey liquorglass and pour a little layer of mint syrup over it. Then add a double espresso and finish with frothed milk.
Spicy Coffee
You need some ingredients for this: hot cocoa (app. 100 ml p.p), 1 knifepoint of pepperbiscuitspices and one pepperbiscuit for decoration. Stir the cocoa and pepperbiscuitspices with the coffee. Then spoon the frothed milk on top of it. To reduce the strong flavour you can add some hot milk. Add sugar to your taste and straw your spicy coffee with pieces of pepperbiscuit.
Mexican Coffee
This is the perfect drink for special occasions or as aperitive, it is based on the liquor "Tequila Rose'. Pour the tequila in a little conic shaped glass and then add hot frothed milk. Finish it with gently pouring the espresso in, this will create different layers and an 'exotic' look.
Cool Summer Coffee
Delicious for a hot summer's day, sitting in your garden enjoying a nice glass of ice-coffee. Put 4 ice cubes in a long glass. Pour hot coffee with it (and a flavour of liquor). Then add cold milk till ± half an inch under the rim of the glass. Stir very well then spoon the cold frothed milk till just above the rim. Extra nice with a straw of cocoa powder or cinnamon stick.
